Hello again, Monty here..Sharisse informed me that mum & dad were finally going to have a look at my blog( took their time too)..anyway, here are more photos of my adventures in CHCH..also since risse doesn't have a blog of her own & perhaps Emma,Stanley & Christine might be taking a peek at the blog she aksed if it was okay if she popped a few photos of her in N.Z for all to have a wee squizz..i said it was okay. First fab weekend in CHCH.

Me & Risse out for a Sunday walkies..went to my new favorite spot down the road by the river..i really,really want to jump in but the bank is a bit steep & i probably wouldn't be able to get out again. Astro looked pretty scared first time i tried to get in..hah hah.





Yes I'm a happy boy! About to go walkies with Risse..we go twice a day & we have a great time. Risse is a little tired in the morning because i do still like like to get up at the crack of dawn..i did have a few sleep ins when i first arrived,but am back on N.Z time..much to Risseys dismay.




Heres another sight you may recognise..one of my very favorite pastimes indeed.Am getting heaps more messages from other dogs in the neighbourhood, pee-mails as i like to call them..no hayfever so far mum & dad.




And this is yet another favorite spot of mine..i find it quite refreshing after my walk..it has been raining rather alot in last few days & this fantastic puddle appeared..so after walkies i collapse in the puddle & Rissey gets a bit cross with me because i emerge from it sopping wet & covered in mud. Personally i think it's quite a good trick, it means I get towelled down before dinner, which suits me just fine..




Look at these lovebirds..how sweet. Poodle is still a bit wary of me, but Beryl is warming to my immense charm & rugged good looks..she does taunt me a bit tho,will run right up to me.get me all excited & then run off again..cheeky.

Back in the Land of the Long White Cloud...

I woke up tuesday morning in Brisbane, the next thing i knew i was on one of those dreadful things called a plane AGAIN (i'm not at all fond of them)..& then within a few hours i was back home in N.Z! Not home as such because Dunedin is my real home,but in Christchurch with Rissey.. put it this way i knew i wasn't in Australia anymore thats for sure..oh the joy! After mucking around in customs for quite some time i was allowed to leave with Risse & her friend Jen, next stop my B&B accomodation in Somerfield. Here i will be staying with Risse, Astro, Anne & my feline cousins Poodle & Beryl the Feral..i must say that they are tad unfriendly at this point in time, but i'm sure they'll warm to me once they get over the fact that i'm a rather enourmous golden lab..i am quite alot bigger than most labs, blame the large amount of cobalt in the water i grew up on in dunedin, or it may have been because of the smoke alarm i ate as a puppy..either way i grew to be quite large..anyhoo, I'm rather enjoying the single digit weather & rain we're having..went for a great stroll in the rain with Risse early this morning. I very much made sure i walked in every puddle we came across.. Roma was incredibly hot & dry so i was making up for lost rain by getting sopping wet & mildly covered in mud..don't worry, was lovingly towelled down before goin home to recline in the living room, by the fire on my great new bed..(great choice mum & dad, i particularly like the tartan). A note especially for mum & dad.."Don,t worry about me,i'm just fine. Enjoy your time away, you certainly deserve it after living in the outback for the last few years. It will be great for you to get back in touch with civilization. Don't get me wrong Roma was quite cool, but you deserve a treat after all your hard work there..some relatively normal weather will be nice too eh".
